Level 1 Charging:
NEMA 5-15:
A NEMA 5-15 socket, commonly recognized as a standard wall outlet, resembles the type of outlet used for lamps, phones, small devices, and basic home appliances. NEMA 5-15 sockets supply up to 16-amp and 120-volt of power, serving as the standard sockets for Level 1 EV chargers.
Level 2 Charging:
NEMA 14-50:
A NEMA 14-50 socket, sometimes referred to as an RV outlet, is typically designated for larger appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators. These appliances require more power. NEMA 14-50 sockets deliver up to 50A and 24V of power, and they are the standard sockets utilized for Level 2 EV chargers.NEMA 6-50:
A NEMA 6-50 socket, is a 240V, 50A outlet that is commonly used for high-powered appliances that require a lot of electrical energy. It is very similar to a NEMA 14-50, however the NEMA 14-50 tends to have a higher capacity than the NEMA 6-50.
